From enrollment to credential — 6 steps

Purchase the CGW® Series online

By credit/debit card (U.S. or Canadian bank) or by mailing a check with the registration form.

Receive Section 1 materials next business day

Course materials and assignments delivered by email from your assigned CGW® instructor.

Complete the PDPW online course

Work through 6 sections at your own pace. Up to 90 days. Extensions available for $100.

Select your exam date

Email AGWA with your preferred date and a copy of your driver's license as identity proof.

Take the CGW® Exam online

5-hour exam on your scheduled date. 5 sections. Results sent within 3–4 weeks.

Receive your Certified Grant Writer® credential

Valid for 5 years. Renewable. Name listed in the public CGW® verification directory.
